Robert Griffin III 'shaken up' by hit

LANDOVER, Md. -- Washington Redskins rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III left Sunday's game in the third quarter after taking a big hit from Atlanta Falcons linebacker Sean Weatherspoon.
The hit came with 6:12 remaining in the third. Griffin was taken to the locker room after he was slammed into by Weatherspoon on a third-and-goal play. The team said Griffin was "shaken up" and his return is questionable.
The Heisman Trophy winner and No. 2 overall pick stayed on the turf, face-down, for a few moments. He was checked on by team trainers before walking over to the Redskins' sideline with his helmet off.
Sitting on a sideline bench, Griffin was attended to by trainers. After a few minutes, he was escorted to the tunnel leading to the Redskins' locker room.
Fellow rookie Kirk Cousins replaced Griffin on the Redskins' next possession. On his first play, Cousins completed a 4-yard pass to Joshua Morgan, but the Redskins wound going three-and-out and punting.
Cousins, however, threw a 77-yard scoring pass to Santana Moss for his first NFL touchdown in the Redskins' next drive.
