Some superheroes are born with their super powers, like Superman. Other heroes gain their powers after being transformed by some substance, like the Hulk or Spiderman. Adrian Peterson wants everyone to know that his superhuman ability to quickly heal falls in the former camp.

According to the star runner, some people have speculated that he may have used HGH to aid in his insanely fast recovery from a torn ACL in 2011 before rushing for 2,097 yards and 13 total touchdowns last season on his way to earning the league's MVP award.

Not only does he want to set the record straight, he wants to do so by seeing HGH testing implemented in the NFL.

It would appear the NFL and NFLPA are closer to implementing an HGH testing program, having agreed to a population study on Monday, according to Brian McIntyre of Shutdown Corner, so Peterson may soon enough get his wish.

It's not a surprise that some folks have speculated that Peterson may have aided his recovery process with HGH. At this point in the sporting landscape, anytime a player does something unexpected, whispers of steroid use will soon follow.

Look no further than Chris Davis of the Baltimore Orioles, who has already hit 37 home runs with 97 RBI this season. Never mind that he hit 33 dingers last year—speculation has already surfaced that he may be juicing.

But Peterson has always been a freak, and his recovery never seemed outside the realm of his possibility. As football players go, he's always been Wolverine, or at least he has Wolverine's healing power.

So Peterson says bring on the testing, bub.

Madison Square Garden has played host to some of the greatest moments in sports and entertainment history ever since the venue opened in 1879. It has endured a few moves since then, and it appears as though another one is in order in 10 years' time.

Would moving damage Madison Square Garden's mystique?

According to Charles V. Bagli of The New York Times, the New York City Council decided by a vote of 47 to 1 that MSG's operating permit would be extended for just 10 years. That means the powers that be will either have to relocate the Garden or reapply within a decade.   

The main reason behind the New York City Council's desire to move MSG relates to Penn Station. There have been plans to renovate and expand Penn Station for quite some time, but Madison Square Garden has been viewed as a major obstacle in doing so.

Forcing MSG to relocate should set the wheels in motion when it comes to modernizing Penn Station. From Christine C. Quinn, City Council speaker (via Bagli):

This is the first step in finding a new home for Madison Square Garden and building a new Penn Station that is as great as New York and suitable for the 21st century. This is an opportunity to re-imagine and redevelop Penn Station as a world-class transportation destination.

Not only would moving be inconvenient for MSG controller and New York Knicks owner James Dolan, but it would also put the recent Garden renovations to waste, as ESPN's J.A. Adande points out.

To be specific, a $968 million overhaul of the facility is scheduled to be completed by the fall. According to Bagli, Dolan's company didn't even acknowledge the 10-year timetable in a statement issued Wednesday afternoon.

Madison Square Garden has operated at its current site for generations, and has been proud to bring New Yorkers some of the greatest and most iconic moments in sports and entertainment. We now look forward to the reopening of the arena in the fall of 2013.

Moving is old hat for Madison Square Garden as the current building at 4 Pennsylvania Plaza is MSG's fourth different location. It officially opened in 1968, and it has served as the stage for a bevy of incredible events. The Knicks and New York Rangers have won championships, countless prize fights have occurred there, and even three editions of WWE's WrestleMania have rocked the Garden.

Despite all of that history and worldwide acclaim, Madison Square Garden will have to pack up and move yet again if the New York City Council ultimately gets its way.

Despite the fact that there was a full count at the time, Quentin obviously felt Greinke’s pitch was intentional after a Jason Marquis 0-2 pitch was thrown towards Matt Kemp‘s head earlier in the contest. Kemp spent a great deal of time jawing with the Padres with both teams on the field and had to be restrained by Josh Beckett and manager Don Mattingly.

After the parties returned to the dugouts initially  the Dodgers’ Jerry Hairston Jr. sprinted back out towards the Padres dugout, stirring things back up.

Unclear is whether Greinke was hurt in the original melee. He tried to shield his right arm as Quentin barreled into him, and they tusseled as their teammate came out to assist. He exited afterwards, though he didn’t appear to be ejected.

Kemp was among the players ejected. Quentin was, too, and he’ll face a five- or six-game suspension if history is any indication.

You thought you would go to Augusta, load up on the cheap eats and inexpensive beer before heading out with the rest of fans to line the tee box. That's when you were going to yell "Get in the hole" and leave chuckling. 

Well, don't. 

Yahoo! Sports' Jay Busbee witnessed firsthand what kind of stern vigilance Augusta officials are using against would-be miscreants. 

It seems Busbee was hanging around the 17th hole on Thursday to see Tiger Woodstee off, only to hear a very familiar call from the relatively respectable crowd. "Get in the hole!"

That's when all hell broke loose, at least how it can at the Masters: in a very reserved and sensible manner.

Before the second word was out, the Augusta National security team — well, security pair — shadowing Woods was snapping into action. A guard in white shirt and black slacks, earpiece crackling, and a supervisor in well-pressed khakis began craning their necks, trying to see along the rope line for who would have dared lift their leg on Augusta National's decorum.

Kind of sounds like teachers trying to figure out which wiseacre student shouted something awful at a school assembly. 

Busbee later asked a security guard about the anonymous shouter who would dare violate Augusta with such shtick. 

"You see who it was?" the supervisor said, in that kind of Southern-cop hint-of-menace voice that made it sound like this could go very well or very poorly for me, depending on what I said next.

"I didn't. But you'll take his badge, right?"

"Oh, yeah," the guard said, with more than a hint of anticipation, and resumed scanning the crowd. This time, alas, the screamer escaped to yell again. But if he did lose his badge, he wouldn't just lose it for this afternoon. He'd lose it for this year, and every year afterward, forever and ever, amen.

I am not quite sure if the golf reporter indeed confirmed that yelling "Get in the hole" would warrant a lifetime ban from Augusta, but it sure sounds like it. 

Like Busbee, I agree that the familiar crowd call jumped the shark roughly a decade ago. If I am pressed, I would have to say my favorite is the "Mashed potatoes" cry that brings a smile to my face when I am fatigued and don't know any better. 

Still, shouting any of the usual cries is just, for lack of a better word, lame. These are the people that go around quoting Dane Cook jokes from the 90s. 

Unless you are yelling something new and inventive, just keep quiet. In fact, take another bite of those super-cheap delicacies at the Masters. 

Sure, the calories will go straight to your hips, but they won't get you axed from one of the best sports locales around.

If you bump around the golf course in regular golf carts, I feel sorry for you. Indeed, the era of the tricked-out golf cart has arrived.

Busted Coverage also reminds us Jordan took a similar cart out for a test drive back in 2012. He was just as amazed with that golf cart as we are with this one. (Video features NSFW language.) 

'It brought water to my eyes, I was flyin’,' Jordan said.

'Was it fast,' someone asked Jordan.

'F–k yeah,' Jordan responds. 'It’s gotta be doin’ about 30.'

Doing 30 on a golf course would certainly speed up play.  

Sadly, this is only the second-greatest golf cart in existence, because I still say driving to your ball in a hovercraft is far more remarkable. 

There is Bubba Watson's hovercraft designed by Oakley. If you are wondering, you most definitely want one. 

In fact, the amazing golf conveyance is making a cameo at the Masters in Augusta. WRDW-TV spotted the massive vehicle making its way to golf's greatest major, if only to sit in the parking lot. 

Somehow, I doubt we will see Watson maneuvering around the course in a hovercraft this weekend, no matter how much we all want that to happen.

If you are anywhere near the Masters, I imagine you can take a photo with the best ride in sports while chowing down on a pimento cheese sandwich. All in all, a great day. 

Now, quit your daydreaming and get back to the dregs of municipal courses and their uncomfortable golf carts. 

I'm just impressed if my golf-cart rental features a windshield or cup holders that aren't sticky. Here, we have two revolutionaries choosing to step the golf-cart game up to unbelievable levels.

You’ve got to give it to Peyton, he can still draw up a great trick play.

Peyton Manning, Eric Decker and other members of the Denver Broncos football team came to Duke University in Durham, N.C. Wednesday to do a little offseason training. The trip concluded with a dinner among teammates, where Manning handed Decker a fake invoice for over $3,000 in fees from the Duke facilities. 

Peyton printed the truth of the situation on other notes so the other players at dinner would "play along."

After presumably staring in disbelief at the invoice for a good minute or so, Decker figured out the ruse and tweeted out a picture of the rather official-looking fake invoice. 

As you can see, this wasn’t some run-of-the-mill, water-bucket-over-the-door prank. Manning put some time and care into this, but $20 for a piece for equipment cleaning? Did they dry clean his socks, too? 

While the officious-looking bill first appears to be legit, apparently it's been a while since Manning has done addition away from his 10 fingers. The miscalculated subtotal amount tallied on the right gives the prank away, as the amount for services rendered before tax adds up to $100 less than it should.  

Decker admitted he never noticed the mistake while studying the bill, saying he was thrown off by the ridiculous tax rate and absurd facility fees. 

Considering Decker’s four-year contract with Broncos is worth a total of $2.52 million(less than 15 percent of the $18 million Manning made over the 2012-13 season), the man was more than rightfully concerned about the expensive fake bill.

Luckily for Decker, the imaginary bill was just Peyton’s way of ending training on a humorous note.

Shabazz Muhammad of the UCLA Bruins is reportedly not as young as previously thought.

Ken Bensinger of the Los Angeles Times reported Friday that Muhammad is actually a year older than the age the star freshman had on file with the team and NCAA:

According to the UCLA men's basketball media guide, he was born in Los Angeles on Nov. 13, 1993.

But a copy of Shabazz Nagee Muhammad's birth certificate on file with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health shows that he was born at Long Beach Memorial Hospital exactly one year earlier, making him 20 years old — not 19 as widely reported.

How and when he lost a year of his life are unclear. But competing against younger, smaller athletes, particularly in the fast-growing years of early adolescence, can be "a huge edge," said Eddie Bonine, executive director of the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Assn. "People naturally look at the big, strong kids."

This is definitely an interesting unveiling of one of college basketball's top stars. The advantage, of course, allowed Muhammad to stand out among the competition, but to a degree, it likely would not have made a difference.

Factoring in that Muhammad is expected to be a high selection in the 2013 NBA draft, the guy clearly dominates the game as it is. This season, he has averaged 17.8 points, 5.3 boards, shot 44.7 percent from the field and 70.6 from the line.

Unsurprisingly, coach Ben Howland and the Bruins won the Pac-12 regular-season title and nearly pulled the double whammy, but the Oregon Ducks upset them in the conference tournament. Still, Muhammad's size, frame and complete skill set are a competitive advantage, regardless of age.

Does this affect Shabazz Muhammad's NBA potential?

The intrigue here is with regard to his current NBA potential.

Muhammad had an additional year of training and preparation, so he's physically and mentally more mature. And that will only help with the transition into the immediate windfall that comes with the territory as a professional athlete.

The flip side of this coin, however, is Muhammad's NBA career getting cut short by one year.

We've seen numerous players make a strong impact so quickly in the Association that capitalizing on a prospect's youth is now a critical edge pertaining to a franchise's long-term success. It would be surprising if this newfound discrepancy greatly affected Muhammad's stock, though, as he is still one of the best talents this year.

Phil Mickelson continued his stretch of dominance at the 2013 Waste Management Phoenix Open, shooting another 64 on the day to improve to 24 under par on the tournament.

Lefty still controls the field, holding the lead he built with a final score of 60 on the first day.

Mickelson is leaving his early struggles this year behind him, as he tears it up at Scottsdale.

With another day well under par, Mickelson keeps increasing the ground between himself and the rest of the field.

It helps Mickelson that Bill Haas, who had entered the day in second place, struggled and finished with a score of 70, pushing him down to sixth place.

However, like with any relatively easy course, there were a few big gainers on Saturday.

Padraig Harrington had the best day of anyone, shooting 63 (-8) and jumping up from 20th to tie for third.

Brendan Steele and Scott Piercy also had huge days, both finishing at 65 (-6), and moving up 14 and 30 spots in the rankings, respectively.

However, Lefty's 64 (-7) stopped anyone except for Harrington from making up any ground, and he'll enter Sunday with a six-stroke lead and a chance to finish the tournament at 30 strokes under par.

Bill Haas had a rough day, finishing at just one under par. However, he had a shining moment on No. 13 that helped him avoid finishing over par, as he shot a chip-in eagle.

Not to be outdone, Padraig Harrington had an eagle of his own on No. 15, which was part of his eight-under-par day, which led the field.

Our third highlight comes courtesy of Lefty himself, as this birdie helped propel him to his 64 on the day.

And, of course, what's the Waste Management Phoenix Open without a bit of caddy racing? This clip comes between two brothers who thrive on competition.
